Sharing My Universe

Crimson Sunrise released today!!!

I'm so excited to share the news. The second novel in my Tueri Fated Souls Series is available now on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

Saari Mitchell attends a Tueri conference in Las Vegas, Nevada to strengthen her bonds with Dhelis Guidry and Brogan Vincent—and see if they can make their three-sided relationship work. But when Saari and her vampire brother Mag’s lives are threatened, her trip to paradise soon becomes a surreal fight for survival.

Dhelis and Brogan’s psychic abilities are no help in finding Saari. Desperate to save their mate, they call in favors from the psychic and preternatural community, but the information leads only to more questions. Is the threat against Saari personal or part of a larger plan that threatens every human and Tueri’s existence?

Sharing Your Universe

Joanne Brothwell's been here all week giving us a peek into her  writing world. Today she's sharing her latest novel, Stealing Breath. I just love the cover, don't you?!!

Deep in the backwoods of North Dakota, twenty–one year old Sarah Ross is searching for a missing child when she is attacked by a glowing–eyed, transparent... creature. Sarah survives, destroying the monster by using mysterious abilities she didn’t even know she had. Bloody and bruised, Sarah flees the scene and runs directly into Evan Valente, a handsome, charismatic stranger who helps her back to safety. But what is Evan doing out in the forest at five in the morning?

Turning to a healer, Sarah is shocked to learn her eyes bear the mark of the Indigo Child—an evolved human with the ability to feel the emotions of others. But her indigo aura also makes her an easy target for those who wish to consume her powerful essence. Soon, Sarah is falling deeply in love with Evan and wants nothing more than to follow her heart and trust that he is the man he says he is. But she can't ignore the lingering feeling that Evan is hiding a terrible secret. The deeper she digs, the more danger she faces, leading her on a course that will force her to face the darkest, innermost parts of her soul.

Changing Your Universe

Here on Changing Your Universe, we chat about experiences where someone or something influenced the direction your life took or just made a difference in your life.

Today, my Crescent Moon Press author and colleague, Joanne Brothwell is here, sharing her Changing Your Universe experience with us.

Changing My Universe
By Joanne Brothwell

Gandalf

I would have to say that the day I started my current job as a therapist my life irreversibly changed. That day was just over four years ago, after leaving a job I’d been too comfortable in for eight years. I was afraid to leave the comfort zone of that old job; the familiarity and predictability its main advantages. But challenging ourselves in life is an absolute necessity if we want to continue to grow as people, and I had to accept the fact that I needed to move on.

That first day I was terrified and nervous. What will people think of me? Will everyone be stuffy and boring and not like me for the quirky person I am? After about a month, I knew. These were fabulous people, and I was going to fit in just fine.

The life-altering enlightenment started when I began to work with the man who hired me into the position. I came to think of him as Gandalf, not because of how he looked, but because he was a wizard with clients and could always make miraculous things happen in session. It was his last year before retirement, and he generously took me under his wing, helping me to blossom as a therapist and gain confidence in myself and my skills.

It was an intense year, one of both personal and professional growth. At the end of it, I’d changed. I was more self-aware, I was more focused. And I had one thing that I’d always lacked up until that point: clarity.

One month after Gandalf’s retirement I began to write with the intention to complete a novel. Coincidence? I think not. It was because of my clarity of thought that I was able to really look inside myself and see that I had a passion for storytelling, the confidence in myself to try and the wherewithal to act on it.

So, thank you, Gandalf, for your mentorship, your support and your guidance; for without you, there may never have been a book called Stealing Breath.

Review:

Stealing Breath opens with a pounding shot of adrenaline. We’ve all been startled awake, certain we’ve heard something that dragged us from a deep sleep. Usually, it’s nothing. For Sara Ross, it’s something.

From the first page, Ms Brothwell immerses the reader in a fast-paced mystery. Myth and folklore become reality, friendships are put to the test, and romantic entanglements endanger not only Sara’s heart but her life.

If you like your romance filled with action-packed mystery and adventure, Stealing Breath has got it all!

Sharing Your Universe

So excited to give Constance Phillips, a colleague at Crescent Moon Press, some cover love today...and you get to share in the excitement.

When Monique finds out her brother, Kieran, is planning her future with the one fairy she wants nothing to do with, she seeks refuge in the human world. Now Kieran fears she will be the next victim in a string of murdered fairies and is determined to bring her home.
Hiding should be a breeze. She can control any human with a flirtatious smile and an attraction spell. Until, meets Daniel Elliot, the only human who's immune to both.
A year ago, Daniel's fiancée disappeared with the engagement ring, an Elliot family heirloom. He's ready to move forward with his life, but his mother's obsession with retrieving the ring makes that impossible. Then Monique walks into his office to apply for a job.
Daniel and Monique can't deny their attraction, but will the reason he's Fairyproof be too much to overcome?

Bio:
Constance Phillips lives in Ohio with her husband, two ready-to-leave-the-nest children, and four canine kids. Her perfect fantasy vacation would involve hunting Dracula across Europe with her daughter, who also digs that kind of stuff. When she's not writing about fairies, shifters, vamps, and guardian angels, she's working side-by-side with her husband in their hardwood flooring business.

Constance is actively involved in her local Romance Writers of America chapter (MVRWA) and the Southeast Michigan chapter of the United States Pony Club. When not writing or enjoying the outdoors, she loves reality television or can be found at a Rick Springfield concert (just look for the pink Converse high tops).

It's said love can change a person. Medusa wasn't always a monster...

Medusa is ruled by duty, to her Titan father and the Goddess Athena. She's no room for the tenderness her warrior guard, Ariston, stirs. When Olympus frees her from service, her heart leads her into the arms of the guard she loves... and curses her as the creature with serpent locks.

Ariston goes to war with a full heart... and dreadful foreboding. He learns too late of the danger Medusa faces, alone, and a Persian blade sends him into the Underworld. But death, curses, nor the wrath of the Gods will keep him from returning to her.

Poseidon will use Greece's war to get what he wants: Medusa. He does not care that she belongs to another. He does not care that she will be damned. He is a God, an Olympian, and she will be his.

Sharing Your Universe

It's a busy week at Crescent Moon Press. Another friend and colleague of mine is celebrating the release of Awaited. Without further ado, here's Lynn and her fantastic new book!!!

Driven to write, Lynn Rush often sees her characters by closing her eyes watching their story unfold in her mind. Lynn Rush is a pen name that is a combination of two sources – Lynn, the first name of her mother-in-law, who passed away and Rush – since the author is a former inline speed skater and mountain biker. All of Rush’s books are dedicated to Lynn, her namesake.
Rush holds a degree in psychology from Southwest Minnesota State University and a master's degree from the University of Iowa. Originally from Minneapolis, Rush currently enjoys living in the Arizona sunshine by road biking nearly 100 miles per week with her husband of 15 years and jogging with her two loveable Shetland Sheep
dogs.

And if it is, he intends to claim her as his. But when he finds his dream woman, Annabelle is mute and bears no Guardian’s Mark.
He soon realizes she’s been tainted by an ancient evil. Russell must somehow release the secrets trapped within this delicate soul to help her tap into the only weapon powerful enough to silence a millennia-old demon—her voice.
